Barcelona, 10 January 2018 – Mobile devices continue to increase their presence. During the Christmas campaign, MANGO sales via mobile devices exceeded computer sales for the first time. Specifically, in 2017, sales via mobile devices and tablets represented 52% of total online sales, exceeding the figure of 44% in 2016. Furthermore, visits via mobile devices now account for 7 out of every 10 visits to Mango’s digital media.

According to Elena Carasso, Mango’s Director of e-commerce, “people are no longer afraid to shop via mobile devices and this trend will continue to grow in the coming years”.

MANGO closed 2016 with a 25.6% increase in online sales, which represents 13% of total Group turnover. The e-commerce website received a total of 397 million visits (54 million more than the previous year with an increase of 15.7%) and a total of 150 million single users (12.5% more).

The fashion firm has an internet presence in over 80 countries and plans to enter new markets in 2018. Via its digital channel, MANGO offers home deliveries the following day in every major city in Europe, as well as in every province in Spain. It also offers different delivery options, such as collection from Mango stores or home delivery in the majority of major markets.

MANGO has set itself a target that by 2020 the e-commerce channel will account for 20% of total turnover.
