MANGO OPENS ITS NEW DIGITAL INNOVATION CENTRE IN DISTRICT 22@
The aim of the company is to ensure the growth of the online business and to develop the onmi-channel marketing projects planned for the coming years.
The firm is seeking new talents from the digital world, such as experts in performance media digital marketing, product owners, designers of digital products and advanced analytics specialists, among others.
MANGO has opened its new digital innovation centre in Barcelona’s 22@ district. The first group of employees, made up of professionals from the digital world, have already transferred to the new offices, located at 119 C/ Almogàvers, and new employees will join them, bringing the total number to 100 in the coming years.
The fashion multinational is actively seeking development engineers, experts in performance media digital marketing, product owners, designers of digital products, QA, agile coaches and scrum masters, as well as specialists in advanced analytics, IPA, Devops and DataOps.
The new facilities, which have a surface area of 700 m2, aim to guarantee the rate of online growth of the firm, and the development of omni-channel marketing projects the brand is planning for the coming years. It also has a research laboratory, which will make it possible to test prototypes with real clients and adapt the digital product to their needs.
According to Elena Carasso, Director of MANGO’s Online and Customer departments, “the company aspires to be the online leader in the fashion market and the motor of change in the industry, which is why we have to incorporate talent in strategic areas. MANGO is fully engaged in the digital transformation process and through the implementation of technological innovations, we are improving the different processes”. “The company is currently exploiting and developing digitalisation through innovation in the selling channels and the use of big data or the Cloud, which is adding value in specific areas of company management, from distribution to HR”, Carasso adds.
Mango sells online in 83 countries. Online sales accounted for 15.5% of total turnover in 2017 and turnover for the online channel rose by 15.4% million euros to 339.2 million euros. The company target is for it to reach 20% in the near future.
