MANGO CELEBRATES THE OPENING OF ITS NEW FLAGSHIP STORE IN LISBON WITH AN EXCLUSIVE PARTY
The event coincides with the company’s 25th anniversary in the Portuguese market.

Barcelona, 1 December 2017 – MANGO has opened its new flagship store in Lisbon’s Praça dos Restauradores.The emblematic art deco style building, Teatro Edén, designed by the architects Cassiano Branco and Carlo Florencio Dias in 1931, opened its doors yesterday to house the brand’s new store.
The store features MANGO’s new architectural and interior design concept, which aims to unify all the lines in a large, single dynamic space, significantly improving the customer experience.A freestanding staircase 10 metres high weighing 34 tonnes acts as the backbone of the store.
The opening also coincided with the company’s 25th anniversary in Portugal, which commenced its international expansion in 1992. The celebration got underway with a lunchtime reception enlivened by the Cape Verde artists Mayra Andrade and Jon Luz.MANGO’s new flagship store was presented to various media in the company of its followers #mangogirls.Julia Restoin, Jeanne Damas, Yasmin Sewell, Camille Charrière, Diletta Bonaiuti, Lucy Williams, Blanca Miró, Aleksandra Woroniecka and Natalie Joos, among others, revealed details of the store opening via their social networks.
At nightfall, Palacio Belmonte, a national monument and one of the capital’s oldest buildings, became the venue for an exclusive party.Over 250 guests enjoyed a huge party, with a performance by Mayra Andrade & Branko followed by a set given by the DJ Daniel Baughman.
Cultural icons from the city of Lisbon also participated in the event with the presence of celebrities such as the actresses Victoria Guerra and Joana Ribeiro, the visual artist André Saraiva and the illustrator Victoria Fernández, among many others.Also present at the event were famous faces such as the actor Quim Gutiérrez, the model Mark Vanderloo and the fashion icon Alessandro Squarzi, who said:I am delighted that MANGO counted on me to celebrate such a special moment.Maintaining the positioning of an international fashion company for 25 years is a task that requires lots of effort and hard work, and achieving it deserves a great party like this one.
